Robert Ketterer
CEO and President

Robert Ketterer is the President, CEO and Chairman of HDA’s Board of Directors. He co-founded the company in 1983. He also orchestrated two business acquisitions for HDA and led the growth of this company since its inception. After the other co-founder, George Bearer, retired in 1997, Ketterer began assembling and directing an exceptional management team that continues to rapidly build the business.

Prior to co-founding the company, Bob was Director of Engineering and Construction for the 7-Up company where he had experience in directing the company’s construction activities, including new facilities, plant expansions and major manufacturing modifications. Bob has a BA in Chemistry from St. Louis University, a BS in Biology and BS in Architectural Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Ketterer resides in Ladue with his wife and eight children.

Jane Victor
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jane Victor is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 1989. In her role as Senior Vice President, Jane is involved in all aspects of the company both strategically and tactically. She has direct responsibility for the finance, accounting, human resources, design, magazine and publishing departments.

Prior to HDA, Inc., Jane worked in the financial industry for 13 years at Dial Finance (now Wells Fargo) in Carroll, Iowa. She also spent five years at Ardan Catalog Showrooms, a division of Carlson Companies, in Des Moines, Iowa, as an accounting manager and jewelry buyer.

Jane serves as a member of the Board of Directors of HDA, Inc. She is also a member of Vistage and belongs to their Key Executive Group. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Female Executives.

Jane and her husband have three grown children, 2 grandchildren and reside in St. Louis.

Michael Kirchwehm
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Michael Kirchwehm is Vice President of Sales & Marketing and joined the company in 1997 when HDA acquired National Plan Service (NPS). He is the chief rainmaker and has overall responsibility for new customer acquisitions and growth within our existing customers. Michael also serves as the primary contact for HDA’s main book and magazine publishers.

Prior to his involvement in publishing and distribution, Kirchwehm worked in Asset Management serving as Executive Vice President of Azran Asset Management and 21st Century Financial Planners. There he headed the acquisition team in charge of performing due diligence and analysis to make direct buy recommendations on real estate, mortgage and loan portfolios with book values in high eight figures.

Mr. Kirchwehm was born and raised in Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he also attended Business School. He has resided in the St. Louis area for the past 10 years and currently lives in Sunset Hills, Missouri, with his wife and three children.

John Salmon
Vice President of IT and Inventory

John Salmon is the Vice President of IT and Inventory for HDA, and has been with the company since October of 2006. John is responsible for managing the Inventory Controls and Informational Technology staff. He also provides strategic analysis and oversees supplier relations as they relate to the company’s inventory. He has direct responsibility for the Information Technology, Publisher Relations and Purchasing departments.

Prior to joining HDA, Salmon worked for more than 25 years in various management and technical roles, beginning with six years in Audit and IT at Price Waterhouse. Salmon was born in Toronto, Canada, where his career began. He came to HDA after living in Chicago for 17 years. He now lives with his wife and two sons in Kirkwood, Missouri.

Jim Weiskopf
Director of Operations

Jim Weiskopf is the Director of Operations at HDA Inc. and has been with the company since 2002.

Jim is responsible for all distribution, logistics, customer service, reprography and plant and facilities for HDA. In this capacity he is responsible for the company’s six distribution locations totaling approximately 300,000 square feet, which has the fulfillment and shipping capacity of over one million books and magazines per week. Prior to HDA, Jim was responsible for the operations of First Community Credit Union, St. Louis’ largest credit union, for 12 years. His duties included plant and facilities, data and telecommunications and real estate acquisition and lending.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Finance from Webster University in St. Louis. He was born and raised in St. Louis and continues to live there with his wife of 20 years. They have a daughter and son.

Sue Pohlman
Director of Publication Services

Sue Pohlman is the Director of Publication Services for HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 1990. Sue oversees the graphics, home plans, publications and marketing departments. Her main responsibilities include managing home plan publications, project plan development, Web content and graphic images, home plan growth, technical service, marketing functions and home plan estimating.

Sue received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design with a minor in Architectural Design from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale. She currently resides in her hometown of Hardin, Illinois, with her husband and two sons.

Kim Baalman
Director of Store Service

Kim Baalman is the Director of Store Service for HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 2000. Kim is responsible for the execution of in-store service for the book and magazine programs in over 3,200 retail stores. She also directs HDA Merchandising, a sister company to HDA, Inc., employing over 1,200 merchandisers and managers serving HDA, Inc. and manufacturers looking to improve their sales through better execution at the store level.

Prior to joining HDA, Kim acquired strong personnel management and development skills in the retail clothing industry while working for GAP for 5 years. She also owned her own business for four years.

Kim was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Hardin, Illinois. She currently lives in Dow, Illinois, with her husband and three children.

Rick Hanson
Director of Special Projects

Rick Hanson is the Director of Special Projects at HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 2007. Hanson is responsible for the development and execution of operational improvement programs for HDA. These programs include process and analysis improvements, operating policy and procedures, and customized services that enhance the overall operation of the company.

Prior to HDA, Rick was Executive Vice President for Namco Pool and Patio. His duties included the development of a five year strategic plan for expansion, identifying a team of sales and customer driven managers, a reorganization plan, establishing merchandising standards and operating disciplines for all company stores. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of Stores for Bass Pro Shops located in Springfield, Missouri.

Rick holds a Business degree from Monmouth College in Illinois. He lives in University Hills, St. Louis and has 2 children.

Greg Lambert
Director of Accounting and Finance

Greg Lambert is the Director of Accounting and Finance and has been with the company since early 2007. Lambert is responsible for financial accounting/reporting and banking and external auditor relations.

Prior to HDA, Lambert was CFO or Senior VP Finance of both public and private companies, including Huttig Building Products, Inc. and Ames Department Stores, Inc. Prior to that, he had 20 years of accounting, finance and strategic planning responsibilities at both May Department Stores and Ford Motor Company.

Greg holds a Business degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah. He lives in St. Charles, Missouri, and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
