Robert Ketterer
President and CEO

Robert Ketterer is the President, CEO and Chairman of HDA’s Board of Directors. He co-founded the company in 1983. He also orchestrated two business acquisitions for HDA and led the growth of this company since its inception. After the other co-founder, George Bearer, retired in 1997, Ketterer began assembling and directing an exceptional management team that continues to rapidly build the business.

Prior to co-founding the company, Bob was Director of Engineering and Construction for the 7-Up company where he had experience in directing the company’s construction activities, including new facilities, plant expansions and major manufacturing modifications. Bob has a BA in Chemistry from St. Louis University, a BS in Biology and BS in Architectural Engineering from the University of Illinois.

 

Jane Victor
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Jane Victor is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 1989. In her role as Executive Vice President, Jane is involved in all aspects of the company both strategically and tactically. She has direct responsibility for the finance, accounting, human resources, design and publishing departments.

Prior to HDA, Inc., Jane worked in the financial industry for 13 years at Dial Finance (now Wells Fargo) in Carroll, Iowa. She also spent five years at Ardan Catalog Showrooms, a division of Carlson Companies, in Des Moines, Iowa, as an accounting manager and jewelry buyer.

Jane serves as a member of the Board of Directors of HDA, Inc. She is also a member of Vistage and belongs to their Key Executive Group. In addition, she is a member of the National Association of Female Executives.

 

Michael Kirchwehm
Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer

Michael Kirchwehm is Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer and joined the company in 1997 when HDA acquired National Plan Service (NPS). He is the chief rainmaker and has overall responsibility for new customer acquisitions and growth within our existing customers. Michael also serves as the primary contact for HDA’s main book and magazine publishers.

Prior to his involvement in publishing and distribution, Kirchwehm worked in Asset Management serving as Executive Vice President of Azran Asset Management and 21st Century Financial Planners. There he headed the acquisition team in charge of performing due diligence and analysis to make direct buy recommendations on real estate, mortgage and loan portfolios with book values in high eight figures.

Mr. Kirchwehm was born and raised in Chicago and holds a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he also attended Business School.

 

Joe O'Hanlon
Vice President Operations & Technology

Joe O'Hanlon is the Vice President of Operations and Inventory Management and joined the company in 2009. He has direct responsibility for the Operations and Purchasing departments, including utilizing distribution equipment and systems to increase accuracy and efficiency. Joe and his team are responsible for integrating HDA’s newest investment, demand planning software, into HDA’s current systems to ensure HDA reaches efficiency goals and maintains accurate inventory levels at all times.

Joe brings 25 years of engineering and operations management experience to HDA. Prior to joining the company, Joe was Sr. Director of Engineering at Innoventor, Inc., an engineering services and consulting company specializing in systems design, development and integration across a broad range of industries.

His educational background includes a BS and MS degree in Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla and an MBA from Washington University.

 

Pam Montgomery
Director of Information Technology

Pam Montgomery is the Director of Information Technology and joined the company in 2010. She has direct responsibility for the Information Technology department to ensure the alignment of IT objectives and programs to HDA business objectives and strategies. These duties include optimizing and designing enterprise processes via IT to meet the current and future needs of HDA and our customers.

Pam brings over 25 years of experience in software application development, corporate IT support and business consulting. She is highly skilled in all aspects of team building and the full life cycle of software development. Her experience at Monsanto, Enterprise and Crane Merchandising Systems will prove valuable to HDA.

Her educational background includes a BS in Electrical Engineering from Washington University and a MS in Engineering Management from University of Missouri – Rolla.

 

Rick Hanson
Divisional Vice President - HDA Merchandising

Rick Hanson is the Divisional Vice President for HDA Merchandising and has been with the company since 2007. Hanson, having established an excellent organization of service reps will actively pursue additional business by offering retailers, manufacturers, and publishers our premier merchandising capabilities. HDA Merchandising will no longer just serve the needs of HDA but also other strategic business partners in need of this service. Rick, with his many years of retail experience, will lead this effort.

Prior to HDA, Rick was Executive Vice President for Namco Pool and Patio. His duties included the development of a five year strategic plan for expansion, identifying a team of sales and customer driven managers, a reorganization plan, establishing merchandising standards and operating disciplines for all company stores. Prior to that, he was Regional Director of Stores for Bass Pro Shops located in Springfield, Missouri.

Rick holds a Business degree from Monmouth College in Illinois.

 

Deborah Bostic
Director of Human Resources

Deborah Bostic is the Director of Human Resources and joined the company in 2009.

Deb is responsible for preparing the business for growth, including overseeing the Human Resources Department in the areas of recruiting, organizational structure, employment, compensation, orientation/training/development, employee database maintenance, payroll,benefits administration, employee relations, policy/procedure development, and management of the HR budget.

Deb comes to HDA with more than 20 years of experience in both HR and sales. Her work experience includes several St. Louis leadership positions in CitiMortgage, Inc., where she was involved in all aspects of HR, including employee growth and development. She was also accountable for sales and margin, where she executed key strategies that contributed to the growth of the company’s Home Equity E-Commerce business.

Deb holds a Bachelor of Education Studies degree in Personnel Services from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

 

Sue Pohlman
Director of Publication Services

Sue Pohlman is the Director of Publication Services for HDA, Inc. and has been with the company since 1990.

Sue oversees the graphics, home plans, publications and marketing departments. Her main responsibilities include managing home plan publications, project plan development, Web content and graphic images, home plan growth, technical service, marketing functions and home plan estimating.

Sue received her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design with a minor in Architectural Design from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.

 

Greg Lambert
Director of Accounting and Finance

Greg Lambert is the Director of Accounting and Finance and has been with the company since early 2007. Lambert is responsible for financial accounting/reporting and banking and external auditor relations.

Prior to HDA, Greg was the CFO or the Senior Finance Executive for both public and private companies, including Huttig Building Products, Inc. and Ames Department Stores, Inc. Prior to that, he had 20 years of accounting, finance and strategic planning responsibilities at both May Department Stores and Ford Motor Company.

Greg holds a Business degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of Utah.

 

Jeffrey Cowan
Director of Magazines and Retail Process

Jeffrey Cowan is the Director of Magazines and Retail Process. Jeff has over 25 years of retail experience, including over 12 years of magazine and book industry expertise. His work experience includes Sales and Business Development as well as technical leadership.

Prior to joining HDA, Jeff was a Division Manager with Computac Incorporated, an information technology company. His current responsibility at HDA is leading the efforts in magazine sales margin, efficiency and overall magazine process improvement.

Jeff received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond.
